Bride Worthy is an online directory and marketplace for wedding suppliers and professionals in the Philippines. It was created out of the need for a reliable and trustworthy wedding resource. We believe that preparing for one's wedding shouldn't be stressful and should be as blissful as the wedding day itself. We realized back then that there was no reliable wedding source where we can find all the needed suppliers - where do we start? What do we need? On top of that, visits to potential wedding venues and churches seemed impossible because of factors like distance, traffic and time. Given our technical background and experience in building platforms, we decided to create Brideworthy.

At BrideWorthy, we receive thousands of high definition photos from vendors to showcase their business and work portfolios. At first, we are using our custom image processing service which uses ImageMagick library for resizing and transforming images before saving it to AWS S3. This worked fine with a steady volume of images to process, but as soon as our content grows, it became harder to maintain and scale the service anymore. Our goal is to focus on our business model and not on managing our own image service.
That's when we started exploring image processing as a service and saw Imgix, Cloudinary, and LibPixel as options. We choose LibPixel because it's straight forward, developer-friendly and has the features that we needed.
